Whispering velvet moon

This is my full moon art....I am thankful to be back to my stitching. I will have more time to focus on
my creative side now. (or at least I will try to make more time since Thanksgiving is past.) We will see...
I chose a beautiful green velvet to embroider the word "whispering" on....

I keep thinking of the song by Stevie Nicks, called Gyspy:

So I'm back to the velvet underground,
back to the floor that I love,
To a room with some lace and paper flowers....

Me on a hill in Vermont a long time ago... a very green place :)

This will become part of this quilt:

Me many moons ago....
Happy Full Moon

    1. Hi Gina,

I heard you are having lovely weather there :)
I found this velvet while thrifting and was so happy to get it because
I am particular about the kind of velvet I like...it is perfect for my little project.
I had a quiet Thanksgiving, but yummy food...Thank you.

    1. Hi Nancy,

Those photos were probably from 8 years ago...Me just playing around. I remember it was a beautiful day in Vermont and I was standing on a very green grassy hill. I want to add my words to my cloth, it helps me remember things :)

  4. Marie, I love this post. The green velvet whispering, your photos -- that photo of you on the hill!!!, and the words from the song all seem to be part of YOUR gypsy spirit. And the quilt is beautiful -- love the colors, I'm drawn to the same palette for this moon. xoxo

  5. Hi Peggy,
:) (smiles) Thank you...I am really loving the soft green velvet. I wanted to throw more colors into the quilt because I felt like it was just too black and blue and It needed different colors to keep my interest in continuing to stitch. You know how I love the variegated threads? :)
My spirit is gypsy, but my physical self is grounded lol!
