Sleepy stars...

  CC License View

Last night after a long day of work and running children around I looked at my stitching piles and pulled this out and decided to give myself a few moments of stitching. I literally fell asleep sitting up!
I did manage to wake myself up and finish the word "stars" as it was only partially finished from long ago. I stitched down an edge, which you really can not see and I began adding stitches to the cloth where you see the needle. (It's the little things :)

  4. Funny - I find myself dropping off when I finally get cozy in a chair with a soft afghan, preparing to read a couple chapters! Maybe i should just schedule that into he day? But the house is cozy in the evening sand laundry does not beckon...so it's hard...makes me feel like an old lady! You look waaaay perkier in the morning than I do!

  6. Hi Marie, this made me smile. We can only do so much -- and I really like that you got the word stars finished. A star cloth.

Great photos, you look bright-eyed! xo

  7. Hi Peggy,

I know, it is so funny because I always think I can get more done in my mind then my physical self can do.
This cloth is all about the darkness, void, feminine aspect of things and since Winter reminds me of that I felt inspired to take it out.
Ha! Ha! I am so awake after my morning coffee! :)

  8. Right now I can't read between 7 and 8 PM, I promptly fall asleep! I am the same way, up early in the morning. Early enough yesterday that I was able to enjoy the break in the clouds and see the stars...

    1. Hi Deb,

Just now getting back to bloggy land...
      :)
I always say do not ask me anything important unless it is early in the day. :)
I love to see the stars in the early morning, especially when there are clouds and you see the clouds open and a star shines through like little jewels.

    1. Thanks :)
I like stitching with stars and moons. It makes me think about a lot...
how tiny we are compared to it all, but how big our spirit is :)
Trust me I know about having the different sleep patterns lol!
4 children who are night owls!

    1. Hi Dulcy,
I have decided this is my winter piece to work on because of the dark colors.
I want to add some green velvet I found...we will see if I can make it fit.
      :)
      Thanks <3
