Wool and Sage

The weather has been cooling down here and Fall is settling in nicely.  I always think about stitching on  wool when the weather turns cold and yes, the tea is once again brewing for a nice warming drink. I do enjoy sage tea and it so happens the only plant I have this year  is a sage plant/bush.

Speaking of cool weather and cool weather projects I found this fun 1977 crochet and knitting book.
There are so many fun retro projects...I must learn how to crochet and knit this winter : )

  3. we've cooled down a bit but still quite hot in the afternoons. that crochet/knit book you show is one that i believe i purchased when it first came out. i just recently gave it away along with lots of craft magazines from the 60s and 70s. there just isn't enough room to keep everything.i love the painted sticks in your banner.

    1. I know...it is so hard because I see so many things I would like to do/collect, but I am limited on space and free creative time. I constantly purge things to make room for the new stuff. Those painted sticks were fun to do, very therapeutic lol! : )

The wheel is turning, I feel it, too. Wool and tea and books! And the amulet bag is magical. xx

  8. Lovely relaxing post, dear Marie. I love the pretty amulet necklace, the sage, so delicious as a herbal tea or for cooking. As for the book...I can picture you knitting away during the Winter ;)

  9. Hi Isabelle,

Still trying to decide what to use for the "string" aka "necklace" part on the amulet bag???...
Winter really is a crochet/knitting time of year. Now I just need to learn how to knit, but only
after I get better at crochet lol!
