I spent Christmas day painting this little picture...I should have waited to varnish it so that there would not be a glare from the flash of the camera. I am pleased with how it turned out. It is a gift for a friend who loves riding her snow mobile.
I am pleased with how it turned out and I am looking forward to having more creative time this year :)
Have a great day!

p.s. I just realized as I was staring at this post that I missed painting Mr. Snowman's stick arms! Whoops! That is why I love having a picture to look at. I usually catch the details I missed.

So cute! I am looking forward to doing more crafty stuff next year, too!
ReplyDeleteHi Gina,
ReplyDeleteI love having time to be creative. It is a luxury I enjoy/treasure.
Thank you :)
I hope we both have more crafty time!

another adorable painting. & what a happy Christmas morning you and yours had! Moon woke us up at 7, but had been awake since 3:30am! I remember getting up at 4 & waking my siblings....
ReplyDeleteIt was so funny because my daughter said she could hardly go to sleep the night before and I asked her why and she replied, "because I was excited for tomorrow (Christmas) morning!" Lol!
DeleteI remember being that way when I was younger too :)
I like the way this painting turned out much better. I have not painted in a very long time and I have to get back in to the groove lol!
Adorable!
ReplyDeleteSnow scenes are always fun! Thank you! :)
DeleteMarie, this is fantastic! I don't know how you do it but you have the gift to paint, for sure. I hope you're able to spend lots more time painting this coming year -- and then showing us. Happy New Year to you and the family. xoxo
ReplyDeleteHI Peggy,
DeleteAwww thanks! I really enjoy painting and these little pictures are so much fun! I plan on spending more
time painting, stitching and reading this year. The last 3 months have been so devoted to work and now it is time for me :)
I used to have a friend that would say "Happy New You!" instead of "Happy New Year!" because it is about us becoming new each year...I like that! :)
So, Happy New Year/You and your family too! xo <3
i love little paintings like this. mom has many around here house. simple little things. they bring joy.
ReplyDeleteI know for me it is the little things that bring so much joy...
ReplyDeletetoday I was walking along in the snow holding a hot steaming cup of tea I had just purchased and it so happened that where I was walking I could hear a few old Christmas songs still being played. I had a moment of complete gratitude for having my hot tea, seeing the snow fall and hearing old Christmas tunes...it's the little things :)
Thank you xo

Hope you have a very Happy New Year!

Hi Mary,
DeleteI am going to continue with painting the little pictures because it is so much fun! I was inspired by Julie Whitmore and her fabulous pottery
and paintings and you of course :)
Thank you xo
