Cold

It is cold here...below 0 at times and this is the view from my kitchen window this morning.

Adding a few more little stitches to this tiny bag....I am so slow at this lately.

I made moon baby a new leg and arm and just need to add two more layers of paint/varnish.

I am making moon baby for my eldest son.
Mind you he is a grown man, but I see moon baby as a piece
of art and therefore it is ok to give it to him.
I will put a hanger on the back of it so it can be hung.
Even if he hangs it in a closet, that is fine with me
because at least he knows I think of him all the time...
I will take it to him when I visit him soon. I can hardly wait.

  1. Oh, so sweet of you to carry a little piece of you to give to him. Our babies are our babies forever, aren't they? This made me cry a little. I hope you have lots of time to hug him and take lots of pictures! Be safe in your travels! Oh, and it's 79 here...gotta love crazy Texas weather!

  5. Hi Liniecat,

It was sooo cool! I wish the picture could have captured how amazing the ice crystals on the window really were.
It was outside, but what is fascinating is that I have a bunch of small plants above the sink which include a fern, spider plant, and garlic chives. It seemed the image on the window was somehow mimicking the plants or forming a likeness of the plants, but again the plants were no where near the image. Fun!

Oh yes, it does look like pearls...The design was amazing, as if an artist drew it!

  7. What a pretty view on your window, Marie ! It looks like some sort of precious material or a Spanish fan that would have been frozen. It's magnificent ! Your son will love the moon baby made by his mom just for him :)

I am so looking forward to seeing my son. He lives on the West coast and I live on the East coast so it will be a real celebration. xo

  8. your cold is beautiful, and layers of cloth & stitches. i like how you describe the joy of loving and giving, without a care to how it is received.

    1. Hi Handstories,

Some how when I create it seems like I put so much of myself into it and when I am done I might want to be a little attached to it, but over the years I have learned to give freely, unconditionally and let go when it comes to crafty things. lol! The rest of me is such a work in progress lol!
      xo
