a little bit "risky"

I have been restless for the last few nights as I have not felt 100% so while laying in bed awake I began
to think of my little Christmas project and I decided  to transform the quilt pieces into a woven piece...
a little bit risky, but I think once it all comes together into what it is meant to be it will be perfect.

yesterday morning before work daughter #2 and I took a quick picture together. I love these
little moments we share. We giggle and have fun and it makes my day before work brighter.

  2. Hi Nancy,

I really do try to treasure them : )
Last night I took her and two friends to our local High School to see a friend of theirs play in the Band. We listened to Chirstmas music for almost 2 hours...those are the moments that are special to me.

  5. i love the risky nature of your woven piece! it brings a whole new perspective to your reds! makes me eyeball some of the finished tops that have been languishing unquilted on the shelves in my studio... they are quite nervous now every time i walk by them with a pair of shears in my hand...

  8. Hi Joe,

I am laughing at the visual of your un quilted pieces quaking with nervous "eyes" when you walk by...
I laugh because this is the "wild" side of me...cutting up my fabric to weave, leaving unfinished edges exposed and wearing black nail polish on occassion! LOL!

Thank you! I am feeling better.

Sometimes just a little "tweek" to something helps

  10. Hi Handstories,

I agree, weaving the cloth gives it more of a visual presence.

Now...just to finish stitching it all.

  13. What a lovely image of you two, same beautiful eyes and smiles :)Weaving a quilt, I have never done it (don't know how to) and am really admirative of the result. It looks more like an abstract painting where lines and angles would all blend in together smoothly. I love the result, Marie l'artiste :)
Merry Christmas to you and your family!
    Hugs and kisses.
