Merry making

Stitched up this.....I am a little slow this year...

This is a picture of the family dessert competition. My eggnog cake is missing in the picture. It was tasty and the judges liked it, but it did not win : (

This is one of the winners along with the cake in the jar! It was a lot of fun!

So after all the food and fun... time for a more nutritional way of eating. I found these at the library.

This book is beautifully illustrated and is family friendly. Enchiladas, breakfast potatoes, Sherried tomato soup, skillet cornbread just to name a few recipes....mmmm!

  1. Marie, the Pioneer Woman cookbook is one of my favs - I have made many of those recipes The Olive Cheese bread is soooo good. We had it last night with spagetti. (: That dessert table looks so yummy. I am looking forward to having January be my healthy eating month - lots of fish and verggies here.

  2. Lovely stitching. And those little mice cookies are so cute. Eggnog cake sounds yummy! I'm vegetarian so that vegetable cookbook would be right up my alley. But enchiladas, breakfast potatoes, tomato soup and skillet cornbread sound great too. Yum! Have a great rest of the week. Tammy

  5. Hi T's Daily Treasures, (Tammy)

Those mice were really cute and oh so clever. My niece made them.
What was really funny is that the tail was from a cherry and the cherry
was cooked on the inside of the mouse and all you could see is the stem aka tail! Cute!
Have a Happy New Year and great rest of the week too! : )

  7. Hi Jeanne,

I wish I could take credit for the adorable mice but that was my niece!
The dessert competition was for the younger children and my cake was disqualified by the judges aka family because my daughters did not make it. However, they assured me I would have won on the grounds of taste if that were not the rules! It was funny. The family is fiercly competitive!
I am wishing you and your family much loy, love and peace for this New Year....thank you xoxo <3
