Marie, I think its a good idea to count your blessing when you feel the bad is starting to outweigh the good...Its just so hard to do sometimes! And coffee is waaay up there on my list, too! (:
I try to remind myself to be thankful because sometimes the "yucky" stuff out- weighs the good. (It seems) Actually, for a long while the "yucky" stuff has been winning. So, I figure if I start thinking about good things it helps balance it all.
Oh, I drink a lot of coffee and it is definitely way up there for me too! lol! : ) Thank you <3
Hi Peggy Sometimes it is the "simple" things that mean so much. It reminds me of this song: http://youtu.be/3SwMkTLXK4E by Amy Grant. When all else in the world fails to bring a smile at least we have the little things, right? xoxo <3
Hi ! I found your blog through the other blog you had http://ancientcloth.wordpress.com/ . . . I was wondering if you could tell me how did you create lips?
I drew out a pattern for the doll literally on newspaper (don't shutter my stitching friends lol!) Because the doll is really rather large and I did not have any large paper at the time, I used the newspaper. Sew and stuff. As far as the lips: it is simply sculpey clay that you can purchase at any craft or fabric store. I just rolled out the clay flat and used a knife and drew out the lips from the knife. Then I shaped the lips by hand. Follow the directions for the clay, which includes baking it. Lastly, I added her button eyes and the hair is white floral wire that I wrapped around a pencil to make it curly. That's about it. Hope that helps! : )
