Stitching corn and Spring thread

My recent thread and fabric acquisition. The colors are "springy" and I am loving

that orange-y color! We have had Spring-like weather recently and lots of sunshine so I 

am thinking about this:

Remember Grandmother's quilt? Time to pull it out and begin stitching on it again. Spring

will always be my reminder for my Grandmother. She loved gardening and being outdoors.

Lastly, I have been stitching up some corn....

I have not mentioned that in September we became the proud parents of kittens, from the alleged fixed cat we took in last winter.

: /

Two are already gone to a loving home and the white one is promised to someone. (she is the sweetest and honestly my favorite, yep I am playing favorites.)

I found a new thread holder for my desk.

In the past I have had actual sewing baskets,

or plastic boxes to hold my thread, but I wanted

something wooden to hold them. I love that the 

holder opens like an easel and I can see all the colors

easily.

 This bowl is much larger than it appears. I have filled

it full of embroidery thread.  (It is the size of a big salad bowl.) Note: I have a slight addiction...
