Changes

I think the new year should begin in the Fall....
It seems like a time of change.
School begins for children and the weather softens.

Today I begin a new career.
I leave behind one I have put my heart and soul in to.
I am happy to begin anew.

I needed something that required the same level of attention, just on a smaller scale.
I hope with this new change I will have more time to dedicate to my little corner of the blog-o-sphere!
I worked on my grandmother quilt over the weekend and will share that at some point this week.

I am wishing you a happy New Beginning too!

  7. I always thought the new year should start in the fall as well. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Samhain
This reminds me of this holiday and how some death and birth are related.

    I love the fall colors.
Can't wait to see what you are doing on your grandmother's quilt.

  8. Hi Woman with Wings,

Flowers always make me smile. Have you noticed, when you walk into a flower shop it smells so fresh and "alive" and how it instantly relaxes you? I thought of that when you said the photo made you take a deep breath and relax.
The career move is to hopefully have less stress in my life!!!!
    Change is good : )

  9. Hi Cosmic Arcata,

Fall is probably my favorite time of the year. Especially in the Northeast.
You really see a demonstrable difference. Almost overnight the trees have begun to change colors...beautiful.

  10. I tend to think of fall as the beginning of the "seasonal" new year, and January as more of a cultural/administrative one. Birthday's are a beginning of a new year too.

Sounds like you are making a good change...

  12. Hi Deb,

I do agree with you about the seasons and new year.
I know leaving behind the "old" and embracing the "new" is the right thing. The party is still out as to whether or not the new is the perfect fit...we will see.

Changes are good...just have that adjustment period : )
