pine cone motif plate made in Japan CC License View While I was out thrifting I came across these beautiful plates and bowls. The delicate pine cone motif caught my attention and the fact that the dishes are white. The edges have gold and the set was made in Japan. Some pieces are well used.... |
bowl CC License View This little bowl is well used, to say the least. Just thought I would share my fun find... <3 |
I especially like the bowl...so delicate.
ReplyDeleteHa! That was my favorite too...well loved/used : )
ReplyDeleteWhat a great find, especially with the pinecone motif. I have some Japanese dishes with a silver edge. They are very tough and light but they don't work well in the microwave. That metallic edge can give you a nasty burn...be careful.
ReplyDeleteNot to worry..I am not crazy about the microwave.
ReplyDeleteIn fact, I rarely use it.
I will only hand wash these dishes. : )
p.s. that "pine cone" keeps turning up in my life...
ReplyDeleteI was speaking to someone yesterday who had been
to Rome/Vatican and actually saw the large pine cone that sits in the courtyard of the Vatican.
Tonight some one handed me a plate and when I removed the cookie there was a pine cone motif underneath the cookie!
I got some new stamps this week. They are forever stamps...and the motif are different pine cones. How cool is that?
ReplyDeleteThat "pine cone" symbol/motif keeps showing up in my life!
ReplyDeletePretty interesting ; )
